SEASONS
TO MEET IN PEI
Prince Edward Island has a mild climate thanks to the warm waters of the Gulf of St.
Lawrence. Surrounded by water, Prince Edward Island benefits from refreshing ocean
breezes, though planners should be prepared for occasional strong gusts near the water.

Temperatures are quite mild, ranging from 8°C to
22°C (46°C to 71°C).
Most PEI residents will tell you that summer is their
favourite season as temperatures range between
20°C and 34°C (70°C to 93°C).
By the time spring rolls around, Islanders are happy
to see the snow melt as flowers begin to bloom,
grass comes alive, and trees blossom.
It's perfect beach weather! We even have the
warmest waters north of the Carolinas.

Fall temperatures range
between 8°C and 22°C
(46°F to 71°F). The
mornings are cooler than
in summer, but the
afternoons are still warm.
